Early Plans of Cadwalader Park

One of our residents who has a very special interest in the park, Marc, has been in contact with the Olmstead Library in Massachuesetts. He recently received a copy of some plans of the park, one of which is listed below

Preliminary Plan 72

This image has been scaled down for easy viewing, but the enlarged version (click on the image to see) shows some interesting details like the intention to use the Butrolph (sp?) property as party of the park. In fact in this plan, the main driving route goes around the deer paddock are to what is now Cadwalader Ave. Mark pointed out that there is a small note on the bottom left that says that if the Butrolph property was not purchased, then the loop could run along the east of the "pools", which is how the "outer loop" runs today.
